Hi ! I'm Leo (they/them)
I am a professional film (and occasional digital) photographer based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
Ever since I bought by first camera when I was 16 years old, I have not stopped taking photos. In fact, you'll pretty much always see me with a camera. 5 years later, I bought my first film camera in 2021, where I then fell into the beautiful world of analogue photography. Taking photos of my friends and family on film, printing them and putting the photos into albums so I can reminisce about the good memories, gives me fulfilment and a greater meaning of purpose.

I am a BIG lover ~ a real softie. The laughs, hugs, kisses, exchanges of words between humans is one of the most gentle and significant reasons why I love doing what I do.
I have a deep passion for love and photography and pour a lot of my heart and soul into my work.

Like you all, I have had the privilege of falling in love myself. My beautiful partner Emma has taught me so much about love and the world, and I can't wait to take the next step with her hand in mine.

When I'm not taking photos of people, you can find me working at a photo lab where I immerse myself into all things photo related (I told you photography was my life!) I am truly so privileged to be able to do two jobs I am so incredibly passionate about!
Why choose film photography?
The process of buying a roll of film, loading it into the camera, carefully choosing the limited shots I have, taking to the lab, getting it developed, scanned and printed and THEN seeing my long awaited hard work, is a feeling that brings me such fulfilment. I grew up in a very digital world, but film photography allows me to step away and breathe. Kind of like a digital detox. The organic grain, the imperfections, the rich colour depth, I love all of it! Film brings a real, authentic feel to photos and truly mirrors marriage itself; intentional, long-lasting and crafted with care. You can almost relive the moment, that something digital just can't replicate.
